Cool Climate provides heat pump installation in Glendale for homeowners considering electric heating and cooling. We explain equipment choices, home requirements and utility rebates.
Heat pumps move heat instead of burning fuel. In summer, they pull heat out of your rooms. Then, in cooler weather, they bring heat inside.
However, the right setup depends on your home and existing equipment. For example, some projects use ducts, while others use ductless indoor units. We also review electrical capacity and installation requirements.
GWP rebates
GWP customers may qualify for $1,000 per ton, up to $5,000, when a heat pump replaces gas heating. Replacing a heat pump may qualify for $500 per ton, up to $2,500. A paired panel upgrade can add $1,000.
Programs can change — checked October 2026.
A ducted system sends conditioned air through your existing rooms. The ductwork must suit the new equipment.
Mini-splits serve individual areas without central ducts. Multi-zone designs connect several indoor units.
A heat pump can replace a gas furnace and add cooling. Eligible GWP customers can use the gas-to-heat-pump rebate.
An older heat pump can be replaced with compatible new equipment. A separate GWP rebate tier may apply.
Can a heat pump cool my home?
Yes. A heat pump provides both air conditioning and heating.
Do heat pumps need ducts?
Not always. Ducted and ductless setups suit different layouts.
Is the GWP rebate open to everyone in Glendale?
No. It is for eligible Glendale Water & Power customers, and program terms can change.
Will my electrical panel need an upgrade?
That depends on its capacity and the system you choose. We review it while planning, and GWP offers a panel rebate when paired with a heat pump.
Tell us about your current system, so we can discuss equipment and rebates.
